Conservatory Warm Roofs
Modern warm roof systems that transform your conservatory into a comfortable living space with excellent thermal performance.
There is no single right answer to replacing a conservatory roof, and the best option depends on what your conservatory is doing wrong. If the room is unbearable in summer and freezing by October, a warm roof solves the thermal problem while keeping the room light. If you want the conservatory to read as a genuine part of the house rather than an addition to it, solid roof replacements in lightweight tile do that job. And if you have an ageing polycarbonate roof that leaks, discolours and roars every time it rains, replacing the panels is usually the most affordable route to a room you can use all year.
Whichever you choose, the roof itself is bespoke. We measure your conservatory on site and build to those measurements rather than fitting a kit and working around the gaps.

Tiled Conservatory Roofs
Beautiful tiled roof solutions that combine classic aesthetics with modern energy efficiency for lasting comfort and value.
Almost every conservatory we re-roof was built well and roofed badly. The structure is sound, the glass or polycarbonate above it is not. These are the six problems homeowners call us about, and all six come down to the same cause.
Glass and polycarbonate roofs trap heat with nowhere to release it. An insulated replacement conservatory roof holds the temperature down instead of amplifying it.
Single-skin roofs lose heat faster than you can put it in. A solid roof replacement keeps the warmth in the room and off your energy bill.
Polycarbonate acts like a drum. Roofs for conservatories built with an insulated timber frame cut rain noise to something you stop noticing.
Moisture forms wherever a cold surface meets warm air. Removing the cold bridges removes the condensation, rather than wiping it up every morning.
Aged panels and perished seals let water in at the joints. A new conservatory roof is sealed as one system, not patched at the weak points.
The real cost is a room you paid for and use three months a year. Solid roof replacements are about getting the other nine back.
The before and after tells the story better than we can. Most of the conservatories we work on were built well but roofed badly - a glass or polycarbonate roof that was never going to hold heat in winter or keep it out in summer. The structure is usually sound. It is the roof that has failed. A new conservatory roof works with what is already there. We keep your existing base and frame wherever it is sound, remove the old roof, and fit a fully insulated replacement built to your measurements. Slide the handle across and you are looking at the same conservatory, the same footprint, and a room that is comfortable in February.
Traditional glass roofs and older conservatory designs often struggle with temperature control, comfort, and rising energy costs.
Glass roofs that trap heat and amplify noise
Significant heat loss during winter months
Uncomfortable temperature swings year-round
High energy bills caused by poor insulation
A replacement roof transforms your conservatory into a comfortable, usable living space with improved insulation and reduced external noise.
Solid tiled roof with excellent insulation
Reduced heat loss and lower energy bills
Comfortable living space in every season
Improved appearance and added property value
Glass conservatory roofs often create uncomfortable spaces, freezing in winter, unbearably hot in summer, and noisy during bad weather. Poor thermal efficiency makes them expensive to heat and difficult to enjoy.
A solid tiled conservatory roof solves these issues by providing excellent insulation, improved sound reduction, and stable temperatures all year. Working with your existing structure, roof replacement is a simple way to create a genuine extension of your home, adding comfort, reducing energy bills, and increasing property value without major disruption.
Most replacement roofs for conservatories arrive as a kit. A set of standard aluminium or GRP components in fixed sizes, delivered to site and made to fit as closely as the parts allow. It is quick, it is cheap to buy, and it is where almost every problem we get called out to fix begins – the gaps, the cold bridges, the condensation running down the inside of a roof that was supposed to
stop exactly that.
We build the other way round. Every Snug roof is a timber frame system measured on your conservatory and manufactured to those measurements. Nothing is trimmed to fit and nothing is packed out. The frame exceeds current building regulations for insulation, which is why our installations pass inspection first time rather than eventually, and why the finished room holds its temperature instead of fighting for it.
It costs more than a kit. It is also the reason we spend so little time going back to jobs, and the reason customers who were told a solid conservatory roof replacement would make the room dark are surprised by how it actually turns out.
We work out of Acru Works on Demmings Road in Stockport, and everything we fit is installed by our own teams rather than subcontracted out. That matters more than it sounds. It means the person who measured your conservatory, the person who built the roof and the person who fits it are all working to the same set of drawings, and it means we can hold a 3-4 day install window without depending on somebody else’s diary.
Stockport is home, so Cheadle, Bramhall, Hazel Grove, Marple and the surrounding areas are on our doorstep. From there we cover Greater Manchester, Cheshire and out across the North West, and we have teams working in the same towns week in week out rather than passing through them.

Contact UsGlass roofs offer poor insulation, causing overheating in summer, heat loss in winter, and higher energy bills, whereas a solid roof delivers consistent comfort, efficiency, and usability throughout the year.
Yes. All our replacement roofs exceed current building regulations, are fully compliant with structural and thermal requirements, and include certification to provide reassurance, transparency, and peace of mind.
Most conservatory roof replacements are completed within three to four days, depending on roof size and complexity, ensuring efficient installation, minimal disruption, and a faster return to comfortable living.
Yes. Our replacement roofing systems are engineered to fit your existing conservatory structure, allowing significant insulation upgrades without costly structural changes or the need for a complete rebuild.
Absolutely. A new insulated roof transforms your conservatory into a comfortable, year-round living space, improving energy efficiency, visual appeal, and overall usability, which can positively influence property value.
In most cases, yes. Our roofs are timber framed and lightweight by design specifically so they can go onto an existing conservatory base and frame without a structural rebuild. We confirm it properly at survey rather than guessing, that is part of what the free survey is for. If your existing structure genuinely cannot carry a new roof, we will tell you at that point rather than after the deposit.
Planning permission is rarely needed for a roof replacement on an existing conservatory, because you are not changing the footprint of your home. Building regulations approval is a different matter and it does apply. We handle that approval on your behalf as part of the job, and you get the certification at the end. It is worth being wary of any installer who tells you building regulations do not apply.
A kit is a set of standard-sized components adjusted to fit your conservatory as closely as they can. A bespoke roof is measured on site and manufactured to those measurements. The practical difference shows up in the insulation, because the gaps and cold bridges a kit leaves behind are exactly where heat escapes and condensation forms. Our timber frame system is built to your measurements and exceeds current building regulations for thermal performance.
Yes, and it is one of the most common jobs we do. Polycarbonate ages badly, panels discolour, seals fail, the roof leaks and rain noise becomes unbearable. Replacing it is usually the most affordable route to a conservatory you can actually use in July and January, and you keep your existing frame and base.
